I am a 65 year old grandmother who has led a very interesting life. Our parents taught us in many ways the value of reading, and the importance of speaking well. I learned to love reading at a young age. That, I suppose led to a love of writing. I remember my fifth grade teacher saying I should be a writer. Along the way, others said the same thing. There have been short articles in various publications, and some advocacy submissions. But it was fiction in my heart. When I figured that out, I knew I wanted to write fiction.
