Empty

I reach out my hand for yours,
Then I realize youre not there.
I Turn over in bed, reaching,
But you arent there.

I start to pick up the phone,
And realize I cant
I want to talk to my friend,
But you are no longer.

I search for your name
But you have changed it
I read your loving words
And now know them untrue

You turned and walked away
Without a backward glance
You found someone new
Someone better.

I dont want you,
Rings in my ears.
You arent good enough
Stabs through my heart.

Sitting on the edge
Of an empty bed.
Tears on my face
Pain in my soul.

Hearing the laughter,
Hearing you whisper,
Putting the knife in my hand,
Finishing what you started.

Sitting all alone,
Staring,
Lost in eternity,
Empty.
