It's about an alcoholic who doesn't see the hurt he is causing his family.
A substance of great power is drank here,
Leading one into destruction and despair,
Controlling every emotion,
Outlawing every devotion,
He who holds the substance in his hand,
Outlines a circumstance,
Like hatred and pain,
Increasing eyes of rain,
Shoving others away,
Morning, night and day.

Destroying his family and friends,
Every chance that he gets 'til no end,
Striking with hurtful words and shouts,
Tearing the ones he loves hearts out,
Reaching for another beer,
Underestimating their tears,
Counting the ways of his back pay,
Until they cry in so many ways,
Inch by inch he tears them apart,
One by one he breaks their hearts,
Never seeing for his self,
Someday he'll find just memories on his shelf.
