Jason is running for his life, but all he can think about is his best friend Alexandra.
         "Help Me! Somebody! ANYBODY!"
Bang, Bang, Bang!!! All Jason could hear around him was the growing clangor of gunshots. Their loud, cold sounds scared him senseless, but all he could do was to continue to run. However, even with his long, lean, cross-crountry figure, he was tiring fast.
Bang, Bang!! Two more shots were fired behind him, but he stopped listening. At that moment all he saw, heard, felt, sensed, etc. were the memories of his past. He realized at that moment that he would not make it out of that warehouse alive. This is going towards the light, right? Jason thought to himself. He began to see the faces of all his loved ones before his eyes. Then he only saw one, Alex.
He suddenly stopped and broke-down crying. I never told her that I loved her, he though to himself. Then he said, louder than he realized, "Alex, you are my best friend, the only good, true person in my life, and I love you!"
At first these words shocked him becuase this was Alex, his best friend since the first day of Jr. high. This was the girl that he used to set up with his guy friends so they could double date together when he was with one of his many high school girlfriends. This was the girl that he always knew had his back no matter what. This was the person he would always run to when he was in troulbe. However, he didn't run to her this time. And that mistake, he realized, might now cost him his life.
Before Jason could finish analizing all this thoughts going through his mind, he was caught for gaurd by a voice from above.
"Aw, that's sweet. Are you trying to say you last goodbyes to a goust? Well, I hope you realize that you brought this upon yourself," said the chilling voice from the mezanine above, "Goodbye Jason Halloway. Oh, and your little secrete will stay secrete forever."
All Jason could see were black spots. His vision began to haze all around him as the pain saken in. In his last breath he said, in a low mumble, "I'm sorry, Alex."
The keeper of the voice from above took out a cell phone from his pocket. He hadn't even begun to dail a number before the phone rang.
"Hello? Yes, yes; Halloway is dead. Yes, yes, I know. Okay. Well, now your little secrete is safe. So, when are you going to wire the money into my account? You promised $500,000 to me after I did it. Oh, he did say something interesting before me died. He said, 'I'm sorry, Alex.' Isn't that weird. Well, You better have the money to me by the time I get back to my hotel room. Bye!"
Once the cell phone was shut, it exploded in the carriers face. The voice was gone, and the warehouse was finishly silent.

At that same moment, 3,000 miles away, Alexandra Summers was jolted awake by the clangor of her alarm clock.
