Written in the aftermath of the Columbine tragedy and the death of a friend.
Tragic acts
tear the fabric of our lives,
As precious threads slip through our hands,
we begin to realize,
All that we hold dear in life
can vanish on a whim...
It's then that we must rely on faith,
and turn to our close friends.
For Strength, For Love...
For peace of mind...
For comfort
we can't seem to find...
When all is bleak,
and dark as coal,
When what we seek,
Is Peace Of Mind And Soul...

I can't offer that,
which I don't possess,
But wish to soothe
This great unrest...
That has settled
within our minds...
As this tragedy
Unwinds.
And permeates
the facets of our lives...
In this poignant moment,
with blinding clarity, I realize...
It takes both good and evil
to make us whole.
Therefore, we must seek balance,
to achieve Peace of Mind and Soul.

As every day,
must have it's night,
And for every wrong,
there is a right,
As one man's Happy,
is another's Sad...
Where for every Lassy,
there is a Lad...
From every dream,
we must awake...
Lives are full
of give and take...
A new beginning,
springs from every end.
And even an enemy,
can become a friend...
Sometimes we push,
when we should really pull...
We bring this all together
to reach our goal...
And in life's final sunset,
as inferno melds with snow...
Within that single perfect moment,
Is Peace Of Mind And Soul.
