Beyond the Door

The door beckons.

On this side of the door is serenity, safety, comfort, security, and love.

The other side of the door offers mystery, danger, pain, worry, and hate.

This side of the door is known; the other side of the door is not. That is part of its allure - the unknown.

True, it holds the possibility of evil, but it also offers a chance at love, joy, belonging - family.

"Ready?" the Father asked.

When He saw the nod, He opened the door. He smiled as another soul started its journey towards a life on earth.
