A poem of a boy saying good-bye. FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS DRINK AND DRIVE
I hold your small ice cold hand.
as you lay peaceful.
as you lay sleeping.
as you lay beautiful.

I look down on your pale face.
those blue eyes that once held so much life
those once rosy cheeks
and that once dazzling smile
is now unseeing by those around me.

The bouquet of flowers I hold in my hands
was for you,
but how will you know I gave them to you now?

This bouquet holds flowers of all kinds.
roses, tulips, lilies, tiger lilies...
all shapes and sizes,
but still all as equally beautiful
as you once were.

I place them down on the ground, and pull out a box from my pocket.
Its small,
covered in velvet.
I place it down next to the flowers.

THe pretty girl in the picture I see,
is now sleeping for eternity,
on the side of the road.
surrounded by flowers,
a wedding ring she cannot put on her finger,
and covered in the alcohol smell that will never fade away.
