How it was
By: Leona
I hear voices in my dreams,
Voices of the days gone by,
Of my saddened days,
The days I couldn’t understand,
Why my life was important.

The days,
That I didn’t know what to do,
Or how to deal.

The choices I made then,
Were almost all bad,
My mind wasn’t very reliable,
I was very confused.

I couldn’t understand,
I thought that my life meant nothing to anyone,
But one person showed me otherwise.

I saw him one summer day,
At a party,
Mom had made me go,
Saying:
“You need to go honey,
You need to make some friends.”
She pulled me out of my ‘comfort zone’,
She made me go,
I didn’t like it;
But,
As a friend of me likes to say:
“Everything happens for a purpose.”

I didn’t understand it till last summer,
When we started dating,
It was wonderful,
And still is.
He’s so gentle,
So kind,
So loveable,
So…cute…

He and I have a lot in common,
It’s almost as if we were twins separated at birth,
It’s strange,
But cool too.

All that matters,
Is that we will never come apart,
Even if we separate romantically, (Though, I highly doubt that will happen…)
We will still be the best of friends.

For now our love is true,
And will remain today,
And for a long time afterwards, an will, hopefully, stay forever.
