This is just my version of depression. Everyone says it's good.
Depression is...
Loneliness.
Not being physically alone,
But being amidst a sea of people
And still somehow set apart.
Disconnected.
Different.
Depression is...
Being able to see the
Happiness,
Joy,
Elation of others
But never truly feeling it for yourself.
Depression is...
Seeing other peoples'
Delight, and
Rapture,
Seeing the light that surrounds them,
But always feeling like you are the only piece of
Dark.
Depression is...
Wanting to be like everyone else,
Wishing you knew how to be happy,
But knowing you never will be
And not caring.
Depression is...
Apathy.
Boredom.
Indifference.
Being aware that you're not like
Everyone Else
That you're not "normal"
And not giving a damn.
Depression is...
Having the ability to identify others
Like you,
But not relating to them
Or even caring that they're there.
Depression is...
Emptiness.
Complete and total.
You are alone on the outside,
And feel nothing but
Pain and Sorrow within.
Depression is...
A black hole.
It lives inside you and devours anything
And Everything
That you hold dear.
Depression is...
A giant monster, always hungry
for any good things in your life.
Family and friends run away
From it's insatiable appetite
People you haven't even met avoid you
And it's colossal greed
Leaving you with nothing,
Except itself,
And the knowledge that
It
Is all you have in the world.
