What can you do?

I used to sit there
watching him,
wondering if
we would
ever
be as one again,
but now
I
watch her,

friend
and now they are
one
and I can't
do anything
because
she who is my
friend
is now

I don't
sit there
watching him...
instead I... write
this poem
to try
and forget
what I once had
but made a mistake
and lost

time and
sometimes
someone new
but when,

to go
