Memories of my fallen angel
3 long years ago,
when I was not-so-very young,
I met the most beautiful girl in the world.

Her name was Barbara;
she had a face like Alyssa Milano,
and the body to match.

Eventually, we got to talking,
and we talked and talked for almost 3 hours;
I felt like I was in love.

Granted, I had felt these feelings before,
but for the first time in my life,
she seemed to feel the same.

As time went on,
we began dating,
and all was good.

No matter what happened,
every day I spent with her,
was the happiest day of my life.

For once in my life,
I felt truly happy,
truly complete.

Whenever we were together,
we hardly did anything at all;
we cuddled and talked, nothing more.

Often times, when she was lying in my arms,
I would just space out,
and absorb the moment.

As often as possible,
I would anything I could,
just to see her smile,
her most beautiful smile.

We were together for over a year,
and life was going great,
until she told me she was moving.

January, 3 years ago,
she was caught in a custody battle,
between her mother and father.

I never heard from her again.

It's been 3 lonely years,
since I last saw her,
or even spoke to her.

It's been hard, but I've moved on.
Still, sometimes I would give anything,
just to see her smile,
her most beautiful smile.
