A Simple Dream

Last night as I lay deep in sleep
I had this dream over and over it would repeat
Wed set a date for our hearts to see
Just how much happier we could be
We were to meet on a peir on a frosty morning
When the sun shone down and my heart would be soaring
waiting so silently for you to appear
The loss of not holding you soon to dissapear
Strangers pass by hand in hand
Together beneath the pier they walk along the sand
I imagined you and me in that very space
In my heart it has its very own place
The hands of time passed by so slow
The strangers passed by yet i did not go
For something kept me there long after our time
I stood there in silance and the sun would shine
The sky was now the colour of red
Long after our time the sun now began to set
Yet still i stood to wait for the night
To wait for my love to catch his sight
Darkness now all around me, the strangers have gone home
And accross the sea my love still roamed
You must have had your reasons why we did not meet that day!
What would they be and what would you say?
A now cold lonely girl waiting for her love
Her soul then flew away into the darkness above
