I dream of this place and wish it could be a reality
I’m homesick for a place I’ve never been
It has no name
It has no flag
But I’m homesick just the same.
I’m homesick for a place I do not know
It has no time
It has no anthem
But I’m homesick like I’m dying

My home does not have wars
No brutality
No pain
No unjust cause
My home has love not laws
My parents do not grow old
No diseases
No fear
No lost souls
Just friends to beat back the cold

I’m homesick for a land I’ve grown to love
It has no death
It has no hunger
I am so homesick on every breath
I am homesick for this strange land
It has no greed
No soldiers or guns
Everybody has what they need

My home does not shout its words
It’s compassionate
It’s loyal
Does not disturb
Truth is spoken upon a whispered word

My home celebrates the rainbow
Celebrates diversity
Celebrates wisdom
Knowledge we know
My home celebrates the rainbow
