A great friend who passed before he really had a chance to let the world know who he was.
It suddenly feels as if theres a strong October rain.

Beating down on my heart causing me this pain.

It seemingly hurts me more when i'm thinking of you.

Remembering just yesterday the things we planned to do.

Did you hear me say I love you? Did you see me smile?

Laughing at your silliness, trying to emulate your style.

You'd tell me your little mishaps, we'd laugh until we cried.

Why did you have to go? You know how I hate good-byes.

You know when I hear that song, or smell the cologne you'd always wear.

I would think of all the times you told me that you'd always care.

So i'm not going to say good-bye, I hope you can understand.

Because although you're not here to gently squeeze my hand.

I remember all that you've said and done that continues to grow in my heart.

And the love we shared will keep us from ever being apart.

So though there seems to be a strong October rain beating hard inside.

I will think of all the old times when we laughed until we cried.
