A deal struck with a demon doesn't necessarily have to be unpleasant...
CODE: M (set in the Manitou Island storyline)

TAKES PLACE DURING (specific story): NA

PAIRING: Ocryx/Justine Dupries (M/F)

EXPLANATION: Well, Kawaduk got an explanation for HIS birth (see "New To This"), and Silver Eagle Feather got an explanation for HER birth (see "The Demon Comes"), so it was only proper that Justin Dupries get HIS explanation. Yes, this here is what eventually leads to the birth of the healer character in Manitou Island. And yes, it looks as if Justine does rather grow to enjoy it. O_o (Well, she DID ask Ocryx to come along and father her child...) For her husband's side of the story, see "What's Good For The Goose..."--though Gerard does not end up nearly as fortunate as Justine.

DISCLAIMERS: The reference to Ocryx's "rat legs" is out of date, from back when I claimed that he was part rat; I no longer do. Also, like Justine I have no idea what Ocryx's gesture at the end means; sorry. :/

The Bargain

An amorphous shadow--which nevertheless seemed to possess a sort of luminosity--appeared in the corner of the room, seeping through the wall, growing larger and taking form. Justine opened her eyes to stare at it, after a moment sitting up with a stifled gasp as a pair of glowing eyes appeared, beneath the wide span of bull's horns, a wolf's face centering the whole. Giant wings spread almost wall to wall before folding in, and a snake's tail whispered across the floor. Justine could only stare, motionless but for her hammering heart, as the green-and-red eyes narrowed, boring through her.

"Justine Dupries," a hollow, almost disembodied voice addressed her. She found herself able to move again, and nodded shakily.

The creature raised his head slightly so one curving horn was silhouetted against the window. A strange guttural sound rose faintly in his throat before he spoke again.

"You wish to give your husband a son."

She nodded again, her voice stuck.

The creature lowered his head. His tail swished.

"Your husband cannot give you children."

Justine let out her breath. "So...I can't have a son."

"I didn't say that." The demon's eyes glowed. Justine felt a mixture of dread and awe pass over her. "There is a way for you to give your husband a son." His eyes narrowed. "If it's your wish."

She knew what he meant, and the thought both terrified and repulsed her. Yet the further thought of giving her husband what he wanted--a son--held the fear down, and she lifted her head higher.

"Yes," she said. "It is."

The demon tipped his head slightly.

She swallowed. "Will--he be able to tell...?"

"The boy will resemble him," the demon replied. "He'll not know, if you don't tell him." He paused. "You know there will be need for further payment."

"Yes." She didn't hesitate to learn what it was.

The demon stepped forward silently. Justine glanced at her husband, sleeping beside her, across the large bed. "He'll sleep," the demon said, and touched her shoulder with one claw. A chill seemed to spread through her, but she looked up at the looming creature, swallowed her fear, and unlaced her nightgown. She let it fall from her shoulders, and held her head high.

The demon reached out with his claw, pulling the gauzy fabric aside to reveal Justine's right breast, showing soft and pale pink in the moonlight. He looked at her appraisingly, running his claw in a slow circle around her nipple. As it grew hard, and the breath grew faster in Justine's throat, he pulled the gown down to show her other breast. The soft guttural noise rose in his throat again--an almost appreciative sound--as he examined the round fleshy orbs. He pulled the heavy quilts aside to bare her legs, and finished removing the robe. One swift motion of his claw tore through the flimsy cloth of her pantalets. She flinched slightly at the movement, but sat still to allow his careful examination. The coppery hair of her private area glinted between her creamy white thighs. Her flat stomach rose and fell with every breath.

The demon appeared to like what he saw. He tipped his head, his eyes narrowing with lust, and raised one clawed foot to place it on the bed beside her. She wondered that the bed should support him as he was nearly twice her size. She needn't have worried; the wood creaked as he climbed ponderously up, but held. He knelt over her on his strange furry rat legs, his wings spreading silently, and leaned forward. His claws brushed the line of her jaw.

She raised her head. He leaned over further, bringing down his head to nuzzle at her neck. The sensation--a wolf's muzzle with its warm canine tongue--was odd to say the least, yet Justine shut her eyes and allowed it. She arched her neck with a faint sigh. Ocryx moved, suckling now at her breasts, his fangs scoring the tender skin. Justine forgot herself, arching and reaching out to run her fingers through the fur ringing his face, stroking the wide horns. He pulled his mouth away to look down at her, a slow grin spreading across his face. Justine stared back up in a dreamy haze. She absently ran a hand down his breast, shifting one leg.

The demon took hold of her thigh and spread her legs wide. She complied when he pressed his body against her, pressing her down against the pillows. She breathed in his musky intoxicating scent, listened to the low measured pant of his breath wafting hot over her cheek. His hands cradled her hips. His lower body pressed against her, warm and heavy. He moved forward.

Justine gasped and bit her lip, jerking upward as the demon entered her, inflamed and massive. He pulled out, pushed in again; again she gasped at the sheer size of him inside her. She found the pain delicious--how could her husband, as small as he was, ever satisfy her after this? She threw back her head and surrendered to the demon's slow, labored thrusts, raking her fingers over his back and arms, letting out a soft cry, running her hands down lower to caress his sinuously winding tail, stroking his furry, muscled hips.

A guttural growl arose in the creature's throat, a growl thick with pleasure. She looked up into his eyes still burning with lust, and knew that he must find her willingness and her body pleasing. She dimly wondered how many other women had tasted of him, had made love to the demon and found human males afterward unsatisfactory. Why had she feared him in the first place? She now rather feared how she would satisfy her future sensual desires without him. How would she do it?

Gerard barely dragged his eyes open, fighting an unnatural stupor. He could feel the bed moving slightly. Hearing a faint noise--a moan?--a cry?--to his right, he slowly turned his head to look at his wife. She was still there--but something, some huge winged beast, crouched over her, nearly enveloping her naked body with its own. Naked--? Yes; he caught a flash of her thigh here, a nipple there, as the beast moved. Justine's face was turned toward him, her features contorted with strain, her fingernails digging into the quilts bunched at her side. She let out a small cry and writhed against the creature that held her down. The beast gave a guttural growl, panting heavily as it moved; Gerard saw with dim horror that it was straddling his supine wife, holding her thighs wide apart, pushing with its hips. Its weight kept her pressed down and unable to move away or fight back. Justine tossed her head with another cry. It thrust into her slowly, repeatedly. Gerard couldn't move, could only watch groggily and with anguish as the beast raped his wife right before him.

Oh God, what is that thing! he cried out silently. Why can't I move? Why can't I help her? Oh God please, this can't be happening! Please make it stop, please, please! Please stop--!

The beast continued its slow, damnable thrusting, its breath rasping out between gleaming fangs. It growled again, Gerard looking on helplessly as it defiled his poor Justine, one clawed hand teasing her breast. Justine cried out, the sound piercing Gerard's heart. Her eyes squinted tightly shut and she writhed again. He couldn't bring himself to imagine her shame.

Yet--his wife brought her hands up from the bed, clutching at the creature's back, its buttocks, pulling it to her, welcoming the beast. She bared her neck for it to nuzzle against, cupped her breast to its mouth for it to suck at, opened her lips to welcome its tongue against her own. When her thigh showed, she raised her knee and caressed the beast's leg; when her breast showed, her nipple glistened wet and hard with excitement. She moaned breathlessly as the two of them rocked, intertwined, whispering to the beast. "Oh...Ocryx...everything I have...yes...everything of mine is yours...for a son...oh, yes...please...God, yes...like that...ah...Ocryx...all yours...oh, yes, please...please..."

Gerard stared at the two moving shapes in dull bewilderment until the stupor again overtook him and he drifted off.

Justine stroked Ocryx's sides as the demon pushed into her, whispering to him, letting out a soft moan, arching and taking hold of his wide bull horns as she felt herself tightening inside. The demon bared his teeth and growled, his thrusting more forceful. The bed creaked slowly to the accompaniment of Justine's increased cries. Ocryx seemed to be growing larger and hotter within her as he built toward climax. At the supreme moment he snarled and thrust so forcefully that the bed shook; Justine screamed and arched, the demon's seed burning like fire through her insides, tearing through and exploding within her. He let out his breath in a rattle, pulling from her even as searing pain spread to her every limb. She could only lie gasping for breath and trembling in agony as the demon dismounted her, stepping from the bed and backing into the corner of the room, his form dissolving. She could barely see him hold up one clawed finger at her as he faded away, and dazedly wondered what the vague gesture meant.

This item is not looking for critique. It was written solely for entertainment's sake. Although a scene from a possibly longer story, it is complete in itself and unless otherwise stated there is not going to be any more of it written. Additional unrelated SCENES may be written, but single scenes themselves are complete as they are. So please do not expect more. If you are interested in reading the series which INSPIRED the scene, just look elsewhere in my portfolio and you should find something. (Use the "story codes" given in the scene headers. For example, "MI" = "Manitou Island" series.)

I am not looking for critique on grammar, spelling, style, sentence structure, flow, or the mechanics of writing. What I AM interested in is commentary on such things as characterization, plot, symbolism, theme, etc.--the deeper aspects of the story. I like to know if a scene is believable, if the characters are interesting, what you thought of how they interacted, if the writing evoked any emotions, things such as that.

Feel free to criticize, but just keep in mind that I'm working on more important projects and shared this just for fun and/or to illustrate character interactions, so I don't plan to revise it any time soon. Comments on the characters, theme, etc. are more than welcome.
