My Sister, My Friend

She's always been special, this sister of mine...
With God as her savior, He is her Divine.
She's witty and funny, she's honest and true,
so patient and loving... encouraging, too!

She's a friend for all times, we share thoughts and dreams.
She's always been special, my sister who beams!
We have much in common; our future and past,
the loss of our mommy, the shadow still cast.

Our children are grown now; grandchildren are here!
We share conversations of memories dear.
Our love, unabounding... it goes beyond length,
and where there is Kristi, I always find strength.
