Have you never been given a chance to say I'm sorry
Give me a chance to say I’m sorry
Give me a chance to say the words
I can’t imagine my life without you
But yet I am here, again, all alone

I feel myself slip into a hollow loneliness
My world has collapsed around me
All the beautiful things we built over time
Lay in ruins beneath me, again, destroyed

Is there any way to begin again on broken ground?
Can we solidify a new foundation of trust?
It’s a long reach of wishful thinking
But yet I am here, again, all alone

So I will abandon my thoughts of reconciliation
And bury the pain and memories among the ruins
I’ll try and move on now with another piece of my heart left behind
But you get the last word, crushing my emotions, by denying me a chance to say I am sorry
