Passing the Bar

Midnight and study hard,
With a ton of caffeine,
And let me stay awake to pass the bar,
And please give me morphine.

Such is the hard life of the law students,
Too full for a sound sleep,
Hard work to build up your self-confidence,
Earn your keep.

Midnight, and work galore,
And after that the test!
And I humbly make my way to the fore,
Hoping the best.

For though I’ve studied long each night and day,
The test may be too hard,
But I hope that soon I can freely say
That I have passed the bar.
