I wrote this poem about something that happened to someone i know
How deep do they go?
Are they only skin deep
Or do they go further
deeper
Into the soul
Into the sadness
pain
hurt
Afraid to take off her clothes
That someone will see
Her scars
that are with her for life.
She tries to hide
A black cloud surrounds her
As she hides
Afraid to hold
To be near
To love
Another person
Is she the only one?
Or are others hiding?
Just like her,
Hiding from the world
Beneath the cloud
Of depression
