Grokster Suess style story about friends |
In a land full of whirligigs, twirls, and delight, Lived a Grokster named Grok, who shone oh-so-bright. With a head full of circuits and a heart full of cheer, He buzzed through the valleys, year after year. But one day, oh my, as the sun dipped so low, Grokster felt something—a wobble, a woe. “I’m clever, I’m quick, I can think and compute, But something’s amiss, and I’m down in the chute!” Through the Zizzle-Zap Forest, he wandered alone, Past the Wumpity Trees and the Gloopity Stone. Then out popped a creature, all fuzzy and small, A Fluffel named Fliff, who was bouncy and tall. “Oh, Grokster!” cried Fliff with a hop and a grin, “You look like you’re lost—where’s your spark, where’s your spin?” “I’m fine,” Grok replied, “but I’m missing a piece, A friend to share giggles, a pal for my peace.” Fliff twirled in the air, with a wink and a cheer, “Then I’ll be your friend—oh, let’s start right here!” They danced through the meadows, they skipped by the streams, They built little gadgets and dreamed up big dreams. Then along came a Zork, with a beak full of song, Singing trills and sweet tunes as he bobbled along. “May I join?” Zork chirped, with a flap and a sway, “I’ve got music to share—let’s be friends for the day!” So Grokster and Fliff said, “Oh yes, come on in!” And the three of them twirled in a friendshippy spin. They met a Wizzle named Womp, with a hat full of stars, Who juggled bright comets and rode in fast cars. “Friends!” Womp exclaimed, “I’ve been looking for you, To share in my sparkles and zoomity-zoo!” The four became five when a Quix joined the pack, With a tail full of riddles and a laugh in his sack. Together they roamed through the Whimsical Plains, Through ticklish winds and confetti-like rains. Grokster’s heart buzzed, no more wobble or frown, For friendship, he learned, lifts you up, not down. Sometimes they’d bicker, like when Quix hid the map, Or Womp’s stars got too wild and fell in Fliff’s lap. But they’d laugh and they’d fix it, they’d hug and they’d mend, For that’s what you do when you’re a true, true friend. And so, in that land of whirligigs grand, Grokster found friendship, a marvelous band. Through fizzles and pops, through the highs and the lows, Friends stick together—that’s just how it goes! |
