A poem based on what we experience as human |
Just like every other day, we wake, eat, walk, and sleep, Our lives intersect, yet often blurring into routines. Friends we see, we play, we laugh together, Sharing moments, memories, and the beauty of the mundane. We hear the cock crow, the birds sing, children playing around, The symphony of life, a cacophony of sounds. We go to the market, buy, sell, and walk down the street, Each step is a testament to our resilience, our hearts beating. People fight, people argue, every other day and every night, Yet we hold on to hope, praying for a brighter light. We nail our hopes to the bedside, a reminder to persevere, To face the dawn, to rise above the noise, to breathe. But there are lots of things we carry, others may not know, We carry memories, both bad and good, like photographs in our minds. We carry dreams and ambitions, like lanterns in the dark, Guiding us forward, a beacon of hope, a spark. We carry stories yet untold, only the author knows how it started, We carry scars like maps on our skin, reminders of our journey, our heart. We carry fears whose weight is greater than our faith, We carry hopes like fragile mirrors, reflecting our deepest desires, our heart's ache. We carry love like embers, glowing softly, warming our hearts, Lighting the way, a gentle breeze that soothes our souls, our hearts. We carry loss, the tears, the pain, the agony, Like shadows that follow us, reminding us of what's been, and what's yet to be known. © PoeticEngineer |
