Finders Screamers

“Where are my teeth!” Jarrod yelled.

“Wherever you left them,” his wife Stella yelled back.

“I don’t take them off any old time. Only when they bug me!”

“Same thing… Did you leave them in the kitchen?”

“No, I looked, and the bathroom, and the den, and… Oh, never mind, I’ll find them…”

“I’ve heard that before…”

“What?”

“Remember when you left them in the refrigerator? I found them when I was getting soda. And the time when you hung them on the lamp shade, and the time…”

“Fine, fine. Ok, will you please help me find them? You seem to do much better than I do at it.

“That’s because you look in normal places like the kitchen counter, or the bathroom sink. I happen to know you don’t think normally when you get tired of your teeth.”

“I don’t think normally? What is normal for teeth.”

“Most people put them in the bathroom cabinet, or lay them down beside the sink… You tend to take them off and stuff them into the closest place they won’t fall on the floor.

“You just reminded me where I left them!”

“Where?”

“Well, I was watching that movie where the two guys got lost in the forest and it reminded me of that movie about the little deer… ah, Bambi, right? and I knew the kids had that movie so I went up to their room to find it.”

“They had that movie when they were kids… they’re both in their twenties now…”

“Well, Sandy had jelly beans there, and she was in the bathroom so I took some.

“And…”

“And I got one stuck in a tooth so I took my dentures out! I must have left them up there!”

Suddenly a scream came from upstairs.

“Found them!” said Stella.
