The Winter season on a beautiful night.
Prompt: Write a poem focused on any season using only sensory details (sight, sound, smell, touch, taste).

Crystals rush on frozen ground,
Silver breath, a whispered sound.
Footsteps crunch on powdered white,
Soft lit glow in velvet night.

Cinnamon smoke from chimneys rise,
Bitter wind and teary eyes.
Pine sap lingers, sharp and deep,
Snowdrifts hush the world to sleep.

Soundless frost on windowpane,
Numbed red hands, yet cold remains.
Peppermint schnapps on eager tongue,
A distant bell, its echo sung.

Icicles gleam in lantern’s glow,
Frozen rivers, chilled below.
Winter lingers, fierce yet bright,
A world reborn in silent white.
