Interview with Buddha and Jesus

         Both Jesus and Buddha returned to Earth and began touring the country with their message of love and hope. One day, they appeared on the Salmon Lee Show, an openly leftist podcast based in Berkeley, California. Salmon Lee wasted no time and asked directly:

         “So, Jesus and Buddha, what do you think of the Christian Church these days?”

         Jesus replied, “I am dismayed. The so-called Christians, including the Catholic Church, are not Christians at all. They are violating the tenets of the Christian faith. I am deeply disappointed. All true Christians should leave their churches and join us in our campaign.”

         Buddha added, “I agree. Christians are not being Christian. Most Buddhists are not truly Buddhist either. They all need to unite with us to restore genuine spirituality.”

         After the podcast, ICE agents arrested both Jesus and Buddha on charges of being illegal aliens, as they had no identification or DNA records on file. They were sent to GITMO as national security threats.

         The head of the evangelical movement, who had conspired with ICE, was pleased with their arrest, as it ensured they would no longer challenge the status quo. He felt satisfied that Christ was silenced.
