Driving with only your eyes on the rear view.
On a crash course
To the inevitable conclusion
That this tale
Is nothing short of total delusion

The freedom of reckless abandon

Having everything one could want
Barreling towards fate
On CA41 or any road for that matter
Which no amount of anesthesia can satiate

Might be the highway to heaven
Might be the highway to hell
To be honest
I could never really tell

Maybe it was a Spyder 550
Maybe it was just my integrity
Or my sanity
Or my clarity

Or my synapses
Who can explain
The human need for adrenaline

As if adrenaline ever solved anything

The best memories
In black and white
Always chase like ghosts
In my sight

Someone grab the wheel and steer
Cause I can’t take my eyes off this rear-view mirror
