An Ode to Trees. |
The Guardians of the Earth by Keaton Foster ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In silent groves where shadows play, Tall trees endure through night and day. Their whispers ride the wandering breeze, A timeless tale beneath the leaves. Roots delve deep in ancient ground, Through seasons’ toil, forever bound. They drink the earth, they kiss the sky, A living bridge where spirits fly. In spring, they don a cloak of green, A vibrant dance, a verdant scene. Blossoms flare to banish strife, Renewing hope, igniting life. Summer weaves a leafy shade, Where youthful hearts have laughed and played. Branches reach in warm embrace, A sanctuary, a sacred space. Autumn’s touch sets boughs afire, In hues that every soul inspire. A fleeting blaze, both fierce and bright, A glorious fall before the night. Winter strips them stark and bare, Yet still they stand, a beauty rare. Strength lies etched in silent form, A vow upheld through cold and storm. They guard the earth, these sentinels old, Each ring a tale of years untold. Through birth and loss, they’ve watched it all, A quiet witness to life’s sprawl. O trees, you poets’ timeless muse, In nature’s realm, you never lose. With every bough and leaf unfurled, You root us to the living world. In your shade, we find our peace, A steady strength, a sweet release. In forests deep or standing free, The heart comes home beneath a tree. Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2008-2025 |
