Prompt:

"I have found the one whom my soul loves. I held him/her, and would not let him/her go."
¬Song Of Solomon 3:4.

Tethered by Love

I found you, love, in moments dimly lit,
Your gaze, the spark that warmed a shattered night.
The world around us, cold, yet we’d commit—
A silent pledge, our hearts both bold and bright.

You were the wind that whispered through the trees,
And in your arms, the storm would find its peace.
I held you close, and with each breath, the breeze
Was filled with promises that would not cease.

A tethered heart that pulls the stars in line,
In every pulse, I felt the world take shape—
No fleeting touch could ever break this spine,
For in your grasp, no force could twist or scrape.

The future calls, but here, I make my stand—
I found you once, and in your arms, I’ll stay.
