Another adventure for Noah; this time the Tooth Fairy! - Writer's Cramp Winner!
Noah was bursting with excitement. He had waited and waited for this moment, and now it was finally here. It was his special day. He was seven years old and had just lost his very first tooth.

His mother had told him all about the Tooth Fairy; how she would visit while he slept, taking his tooth and leaving behind a special prize in its place. All he had to do was place his tooth under his pillow before bed, and by morning, something magical would be waiting for him.

That night, Noah carefully placed his tiny tooth beneath his pillow. He double checked. Then triple checked. He wanted to make absolutely sure it was there. As he lay in bed, he wondered what kind of surprise he would wake up to. His mother came in, kissed his forehead, and tucked him in, reminding him to sleep tight.

With dreams of the Tooth Fairy swirling in his head, Noah drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, he awoke with a start as his alarm buzzed. He sat up quickly, his heart pounding with excitement. Without wasting a second, he threw his pillow aside and there, in the very spot where his tooth had been, were two incredible things.

The first was a crisp, five dollar bill.

The second was a neatly folded note.

Noah’s eyes widened in amazement. His mind raced with all the things he could buy at the store. He picked up the note with eager hands and carefully unfolded it.

My Dearest Noah,

Thank you for the wonderful tooth you placed under your pillow. I hope you find something fun to buy with the five dollars I’m leaving for you.

But remember, your teeth are special, and I would much rather you keep them bright and healthy for as long as possible! Be sure to brush them every morning and night, and don’t forget to floss. A shiny smile is a treasure even more valuable than gold.

Keep up the good work, and I’ll be back the next time you have a tooth for me.

With fairy dust and magic,

The Tooth Fairy

Noah grinned as he read the note, his little fingers tracing the elegant, swirling letters. The Tooth Fairy had really come! Just like his mom had said!

With the five dollar bill clutched in his hand, he jumped out of bed and raced down the hall.

“Mom! Mom! Look!” he cried, waving the money in the air. “The Tooth Fairy came! She left me this and a note!”

His mother smiled warmly as she took the note and read it. “That’s wonderful, sweetheart! She even reminded you to take care of your teeth.”

Noah nodded eagerly. “Can we go to the store after school? I wanna buy something special!”

His mom chuckled. “Of course, Noah. But first, let’s get you ready for school.”

The day flew by, but Noah could hardly focus on anything. The five-dollar bill in his pocket felt like a small fortune. He imagined all the things he could buy; candy, a new toy, maybe even a book.

But by the time school was over and his mother picked him up, he had made up his mind.

They walked into the small shop near their home, and Noah’s eyes darted across the shelves, searching for the perfect thing. Then he saw it; a beautiful, delicate music box, painted in soft blues and pinks with tiny golden stars. He turned the small crank on the side, and a gentle, soothing melody filled the air.

Noah’s face lit up. “Mom, this is it! This is what I wanna buy!”

His mother tilted her head. “Are you sure? I thought you were going to get yourself candy or a book.”

Noah grinned and placed the music box on the counter. “It’s for you, Mom! The Tooth Fairy said to get something fun, and I think making you happy is the best fun.”

Tears welled in his mother’s eyes as she knelt down and hugged him tightly. “Oh, Noah, that’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for me.”

As they walked home, Noah felt happier than ever. The Tooth Fairy had given him a gift, but in the end, he had given an even greater one; his mother’s smile.
