Last Snow Day

Soft white whispers fill the air,
Drifting gently, light as prayer.
Bare trees bow beneath the weight,
Silver branches bending late.

Footsteps vanish, lost in time,
Crunching echoes, crisp, sublime.
Children’s laughter fades away,
As winter sings its last ballet.

Icicles weep in silent streams,
Melting into hopeful dreams.
Frozen rivers start to run,
Warmed beneath the waking sun.

A single flake, a final sigh,
Spirals slow, then bids goodbye.
The earth exhales, the cold is done,
Snowfall fades in golden sun.
