The Last Laugh.
A fish was swimming in a fresh mountain stream, and he thought to himself; ‘I am fantastic, I can swim and glide these streams, and I am free forever, and nothing can catch me!’ And still he swam on through the rapids and the current, until a mighty bear scooped him up and said; ‘I am the mighty bear! I am the mightiest of them all! And claim this tasty fish for my supper!” he was still gloating and balancing the fish in one great paw, when a hawk swooped down and carried the fish away. ‘No one is swifter than the keen eyed hawk’ said he ‘not a fish and certainly not a dumb brute bear.’ And he flew away into the distant hills to go and enjoy his meal in the peace and quiet of nature and the surroundings of his magnificent kingdom.
