The Flower of Life.
There were once two daisies that grew next to each other in the flowerbed. The one was splendid and perfect and her petals flourished and blossomed with pride and glory. The other little daisy was a sad and dilapidated little bloom that had drooping and damaged petals and was not a pleasure to behold at all to anyone. The splendid daisy got many bees that courted her as visitors and they all drank of her lovely nectar all the time. The dilapidated little flower had only one lonely little bee that frequented her blossom and only he alone courted her true love and drank her lovely nectar. ‘Look how many boyfriends I have,’ said the pretty flower to her friend. ‘While a sad little flower like you has only one guy interested in her.’ and she laughed with joy at her mate. ‘I might have only one boyfriend,’ said the sad little bloom. ‘But ours is a true love straight from the heart. How will you ever know if all of your friends love you truly, or if they are all just out for the thrill of your pretty looks,’ she added wisely ‘Give me my one true love and you can have all your fake boyfriends for yourself.' Looks don’t count for much if your one and only partner in life has nothing but true love in his heart. Love will indeed conquer all in the end.
