Jesus Saves

Scripture: John 19:17-30, Revelation 14

Scripture Verse: “Fear God and give Him glory.” Revelation 14:7b

God’s Attribute: Righteous. God Is right all the time.

Main Truth: Jesus died on the cross to save us from the punishment of sin.

Story:

“Our hands we fold, our heads we bow, so we can talk to God right now. Thank You, God, for bringing xyz here today. Thank You for loving us and sending Jesus to go to a cross for us. Amen. Does anyone know what book this is? This book is the Bible. Can you say Bible? Touch the Bible. The Bible is God’s word and it’s the truth. The Bible is God’s holy book, let’s open it and see how He tells us of His love. God loves you, God loves me.

“Today, we are going to learn about Jesus. Can you say Jesus?”

1. “Mean soldiers took Jesus and put Him on a cross.” Show picture of soldiers.

2. The cross hurt Jesus.“ Look sad.

3. “Jesus went on the cross because He loves us.” Use sign for love.

4. ”Jesus died on the cross to save us from the punishment for sin.”

5. “Sin is not obeying God.” O is for Obey.

6. “Sin hurts us.” Make a sad face.

7. “Sin will be punished.”

8. “Jesus,” hold up picture, “saves us from the punishment for sin.” Smile, look happy.

9. “Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross to save us from the punishment for sin.”

Questions: “What book is this? Who died on the cross to save us from the punishment for sin? Jesus died on the cross to save us from the punishment for sin.”

Verse: To We Thank You Loving Father. “Love God and give Him glory, love God and give Him glory, love God and give Him glory, Revelation 14:7.” 2x
