Dear Future President: Edited version

Dear Future President:



First off congratulations on winning the presidency. It is so exciting to have someone new in office and I am looking forward to tons of new changes.

I read in the news yesterday about a very serious refugee crisis going on in the southern hemisphere. I am talking about an emperor penguin refugee crisis. A stray emperor penguin named Gus was found on the beaches in Australia and it was severely malnourished and lost. The penguin saw swimmers (people) who looked like penguins and swam towards them. According to scientists the penguin swam 2,000 miles from Antarctica to Australia. This is extremely rare and to date, this was the first time an emperor penguin ever landed in Australia. Gus's journey is a cry for help.

The penguins' habitats are being destroyed because of global warming in Antarctica. The two polar ice caps Greenland and Antarctica are natures gift to earth to prevent the warming of this planet. Future president, something must be done about climate change. Antarctica is a sacred place and needs to be cherished and protected. Us penguin resembling people in the northern hemisphere must do everything we can to protect nature down below. As the future president, please appoint the best and most innovative nonpolitical task force to protect their environment and our home.

Additionally, there is a huge refugee and housing crisis going on in the world right now. Many people are losing their homes to wildfires, shrinking coastlines and other natural disasters. Many believe the previous administration failed to properly make a change. Please, let's not add to our troubles and have refugee animals arriving on the shores of our beaches, countries and continents.
