A piece about an internal struggle.
Hand shaking, pain and pounding,
Worse than exhaustion,
Consuming, no rendering can improve,
Outlook off a bleak field from afar.

Step past, swipe aside, internal fortitude,
Opening door to the breeze and light,
Deep breath, step, one step
When muscles seize, push, push , push.

Faith, having faith requires connection,
Belief, a hideous cage to construct,
A penitent heart, pushed on further,
Clear of line, clear of chained anchor.

Does it become precious, the loss of it,
Holding a purely natural resource so close,
So long it makes you dread the after,
A loss to only you, a loss never found.

Hiding a loss of that caged animal,
That shares all with you, makes you,
Makes me, a revolving door, out one,
In one, it's reappearance different but the same.

Gnawing at the door,, claws fangs and all,
Covers, pillows, knowing a simple step,
Cleared path, light brightly shinning,
One step is all it takes. How to be?
