Castle It Is

“I have to get out of here,” I say, out loud, to nobody. I’m sitting on my sofa, it’s ten o’clock in the morning (according to my computer, who chooses to tell me, out loud, and scare the crap out of me.) I’ve been sitting here doing nothing for an hour.

I have things I could do, but not necessary, not fun and certainly not important. For instance, I keep telling myself that if I went through my closet and removed all the clothes I have not worn for years, and never will again, I’d have more space! But how exciting is that? Add it would also make a pile of stuff I would have to get rid of, another unexciting job.

The issue is, I’m tired, it’s very cold outside and where would I go if I did decide to go somewhere? I could go to the store, but I don’t really need anything. I can’t drop in on friends just because I’m bored. I can’t just drive around wasting gasoline. And even if I thought of a place, it's freezing out there, the car would need warming up even just to drive it at all… too much!

I could watch another episode of Castle, but I have seen the whole series at least five times. And I don’t really want to watch something new, and have to actually pay attention…

So, I’m just sitting here. I’m too awake to take a nap, yet too tired to start anything physical. I already tidied up the house today, and I don’t cook (unless I’m seriously under pressure…) Plus, like I said, it’s cold, cold, cold outside.

I guess I will not be getting out of here after all. My get up and go is apparently gone. Well! Castle it is!
