Only With You, Lord/ A Psalm

Oh my Lord, my praises I sing to you.
         You're the sparkle of light in my eyes,
The inner voice that soothes and guides.
         You're the nourisher of my soul;
And the only reason I'm able to go on.
         I see you in the colors of dawn,
Feel you even in the slightest breeze.
         For in your forgiveness, mercy, and grace,
I fall to my knees and cover my face.
         Your love is more than I can bear.
To hurt you, and betray you is my fear.
         I am only human, but with You, Lord,
I am forever so much more.
         You take my hand and lift me off the floor,
Then open the gates that lead to Heaven's door.
