Words have weight and power.
On this page I would write my name,
but blank it shall remain.
I twist myself to affirm myself,
when I should've stayed the same.
The words of others cut through like butter,
but I'm scared to show the pain.
A shadow with my face took my place,
and I'm the one to blame.
Their sticks and stones broke my bones,
but their words should have never changed me.
Deep regret hangs on my breath,
I wish someone would save me.
