Paths of Admiration

she climbs the stairs of station
the light starts to lighten the way
possibilities of the city leaks
to the tunnels under our play

people walk fast and numb
winds and trees sway around
shadows intersect
lights blur her sight

she looks a way out
a silent corner to hide behind
all the honks and laughter
made her feel like a loner

waits there for a sight to recognize
to see through her flaws and marks
to be worthy of wait for sudden pause
to be witnessed for once
