A day in the life of Caterina

Caterina Managed to get a meeting with Leizak. Where she expressed her concern about the mind and emotions of her cousin and hero Norman Grey. "Please my God help me to know what I should do to help him."

Leizak answers, "What do you think men need the most? This is also true for elves as well."

"Um, for humans I would say money and attention. For elves, I have no clue."

"He needs a wife, my child. All men and elves need a good god and a faithful loving wife. A wife can chip away the ice around a man's heart. Can you find such a woman? If not, can you make someone such a wife? For instance, could you make yourself such a wife?"

"Me, But I am not worthy of such a guy. Sure I am a High magus because of him. I wanted to follow his example. Besides I am his first cousin, and he hates me. You did not see his eyes. We all thought we were going to die. Would not Terinica be a better choice?"

"He needs a wife, not a clone. He is in the city I can give you his address for the inn he is at. Go meet him and tell him you are sorry for what happened then invite him out. Show him your research and what you have done well at school. If you can build a relationship with him. I know he will return. In my eyes my dear you were made for him. Now prove me wrong. There is a phrase in this world that goes like this. What a god has joined together let no man tear asunder."

Leaving both confused and excited Caterina made her way home to do a few things. It is too late to seek out the man her heart is set on. The sun is starting to set. Yet her imagination is running wild. Me, me, me chosen by a god to be his wife! By the same God we both worship whom we both look up to as a father figure.

This reminds her of the last conversation she had with the elf she desires. When she asked if he hated Leizak. His answer was never he was like a father to me. When she heard that it was like she was the same. It was like he was singing her song.

Then her mind went dark, for the next words he said after he and the battle magi returned. "If not for Father Leizak I would kill you all." How that torn her heart asunder.

She then started to repeat the line her god and master teacher just told her. Over, and over in her mind. "What a god has joined together let no man tear asunder." "What a god has joined together let no man tear asunder." "What a god has joined together let no man tear asunder." Well, she tried to break the doubt in her heart.

She gets back to the dorm where she is bunked with four other girls. It used to be only two students per room. That changed because of the massive influx of new civilians in the city. They were forced to tear down a dorm to make room for new houses. Until the walls could be extended outward.

The dorms are broken up by gender, and occupation. Even though elves are naturally gifted for magic vary few of them chose the high magus training. For that reason, humans make up 80% of the class. Elves tend to prefer the traditional spell-casting classes from Palladium. Like druids, wizards, and warlocks.

Even though I have seen a few kids in the younger classes most likely because of the wood spells. Elves love wood, well, they love, love trees, and wood is a tree by-product. To get wood without killing trees is an even dream.

I greeted the girls as we talked about the classes and then did our homework. Some of them could do it on their bed. Nt me I needed the desk. Even though I am the smallest girl here by far. If I lay down and get comfy I might fall asleep. Currently, both dests are occupied though.

I fell asleep, of course, I fell asleep. They did not wake me. I told them to wake me if I did fall asleep. I needed a desk to work. I do not care if I am cute when I sleep. I was given a lecture about not getting my homework done. I tried to explain why it happened but he would not listen. I have to find somewhere to study.

I just glared at the human girls who were snickering. for the whole class. Our class has four girls, and two boys. The two boys share a dorm room with a pair of 8th years. So I can't ask them. My sister's room is in the same situation.

I am going to have to study outside the dorms. Where though?
