Her phobias make her hate the arrival of November.
What is your problem?
He asked with a grin as
He lifted the corner
Of the calendar page

Her shoulders slumped down and
She turned ghastly pale
She slapped at his wrist ‘til
October’s page dropped

November it frightens me
It has since a kid

But I don’t understand
What could you fear?

All the men at my office
Rejoice in “Movember”

What’s that? he asked
As she slumped in a chair

All the men grow mustaches
Raising cash for men’s health
And if that’s not enough
They sport bushy beards too

I break out in a sweat
On my work, I can’t focus
My head goes all woozy
Heart thumps like a drum

My doctor tells me it’s
Pogonophobia, it’s true
