A poem on the nature of haunting.

I see you roam this house from room to room

Your presence like a portent of doom

There is no place for me to be alone

You interrupt my dreams with your moan

You are the one I cannot lay to rest

Is your goal to make me so obsessed?

Why must your misery be mine as well?

I'd rather you be confined to hell

You keep me awake at the darkest hour

The hope I felt once has now grown sour

Why don't you leave this place and leave me be?

You blasted mortal, stop haunting me!
