Not so random thoughts on mortality


life is a losing game
we play with borrowed marbles
anti-entropic bubbles
blown to burst

cast from the waiting darkness
costumes shuffled and dealt
arbitrary roles
arbitrary rules

limned in transient light
facing the great alone
staging a future passed
imaginary choices in a clockwork world

spinning in personal space
cocooning threads of hope
meaning is what we make it
love the only counter in a pointless final tally
