A poem about my father.
My father, a man both strong and true,
With a moral compass clear, straight through.
I learned so much, though his doubts remain,
He is the best father in joy and pain.

Even now, I still will call,
Whenever in a bind, big or small.
His advice is steady, his hand is sure,
No other man I’d so prefer.

No matter what, he’s always there,
Even when he doesn’t share
The way I see, the way I live,
Still, his presence he will give.

Though disapproval may hang high,
And secrets kept, I've seen him cry.
I long for him to see me whole,
To understand my heart, my soul.

His faith and mine, both strong and bright,
Though we may argue day and night.
We share belief, though paths may part,
His love still anchors in my heart.

I’ve looked up to him for years gone by,
And still, I strive to reach his sky.
Though we don’t always see eye to eye,
I’ll always love him, and I’ll always try.

A strong and complicated provider,
He’s the father I love, with heart inspired.
