A life altering postcard sent by an admiring stalker that will not accept no as an answer.
The mythological bird resembled a shoebill in the distorted image Franco, an admirer of mine, who had recently started giving me stalker vibes, had sent me via a postcard from Romania. He was devastated that I'd chosen to stay at university to work on my masters degree in the fairly new genre of: Dawn of Enlightenment. He'd vowed he would find the perfect gift to send me that would cause me to change my mind willingly or not, and join him. This postcard was to cause me to wish I had gone? I looked more closely and realized this was an image of a pre-historic griffin. While gazing, I was startled to realize the eyes were shifting in hues of purples and blues. Rather too late, the change in my body became agonizingly apparent as I sensed the melting sensation as I seemed to seamlessly drift into the body of the griffin. A moment later I felt the electrical air ruffle through my scales and wing tufts. As the color changing hues subsided, in shock, I realized I was now looking at the postcard from the griffins point of view, at my former self! A moment later again, and I felt larger wings cover over me and as I turned to look into the face of this creature saw the actual image of Franco. It would have been easier, he said, as the electric air crackled all around us, if you had just said yes.
