this world we live in

Anguish then Hope

I watch in wonder at life.
Everywhere I look is strife.
The greed of people that kills,
how in their minds it fulfills

Surrounding us all, it’s clear,
random shootings, hatred, fear
Racial unjustness persists
Does honor even exist?

Is it still worthwhile to live?
Can we still have hope to give?
GOD tells us we clearly do,
that we can keep hoping through
.

Tanaga poetry form
Object of poem, asking a question, seeking an answer
Syllable count 7-7-7-7
Many rhyme schemes I chose a-a-b-b, c-c-d-d-,e-e-f-f
