Sadness that she's gone
Mother

Gone before I knew her.
Wishing we could begin
a life full of wonder,
sharing ourselves within

Our self-made walls too high,
missing out on so much.
Didn't even know why,
not knowing how to touch.

She's gone now, calm at end.
I shared her closing days,
both using fake pretend
My prayers for her... praise

Yama
Four line stanza, Syllable count 6 per line
Lines 1 and 3 rhyme
I rhymed alternately so it's not a true Yama
