Monologue - A person recounts a debate getting out of hand.
Do you realise how difficult it is to bury a body? I certainly didn't, at least up until a year ago.

As a matter of fact, creating a corpse was the easiest part and the digging? Relentless. Especially at one in the morning, using only your bare hands.

What began as a simple trip to the big screen, ended as a trivial dispute on the walk home. I mean, how am I meant to know how touchy a guy can get over their favourite superhero? So what I didn't rate them that good? To my friend that obviously proved a cause worth dying for.

Now don't judge. It was by definition, self-defense. He pushed me, I pushed back, they had it coming. Just an unfortunate placement of brickwork my dear old friend, Ben, happened to fall headfirst on. I am not for throwing my life away repeating how this whole stupid incident occurred to a bunch of cops, that hardly seemed a sensible choice.

Do you want to know another tragedy? He dirtied my jacket, the one I let him borrow. One of those guys who feels the cold so much, but not smart enough for bringing his own out. That’s Ben, for you.

Back on the topic of the body. Dragging him towards the woods brought out my best acting skills. A few drivers stopped asking if my friend was alright, I just explained he had one too many, heck they bought it and drove off. I then found a secluded little place, somewhere I could visit my buddy to reminisce over the good times, over the many movies we shared together. Well, perhaps not ‘that one’, but you get my point.

You see I’m compassionate, although, I sure wish I hadn't buried him with that jacket now...
