If I could be anything

If I could be anything,
Living or not
what would I be?
I have given it some thought.
I've decided not human,
for we are quite boring
I was thinking another race
but put limitations are soaring
then something inanimate?
well that's just as bad.
If I had to pick any of those,
That would be sad.
I said I thought though,
and think I did well.
I chose something mighty
I chose a being that's higher up
than God in heaven and the devil in hell
I chose a being that can alter time, reality and space
to give my life my own pace
and then everything would be swell.
