I knew I was going to hell when I met her
Her lipstick irritates my soul

Smeared across pale flesh

Black tar tears

Rolling down powder blush cheeks

She ties me up like a present

And shreds my flesh like so many Christmas ribbons

Syllables slurred by Jack

Sounds soured by Jim

Her inhibitions gone

Her sentences, her venom

Whispering secrets in a mirror

Reflecting lies in rigid transparency

She believes she’s beautiful

Is that what they always said?

“You’re beautiful, honey”

Just not much in the head

Her lipstick irritates my soul

Whore red smeared across angel wings

Heart shredded in ribbon curls

The tap of her feet echoing across the floor
