Dear Jesus

Dear Jesus
I want so badly to feel your love
believing in You doesnt seem to fill me enough
I feel the enemy's chains on me
heavy and crippling
since the day I came to be, it seems
I've been lost and wandering
Longing for the peace only You can bring
searching for signs in the sky
in the wind
in the hazel eyes staring back at me
I don't know much, even though I am
three decades plus in this life
I am so exhausted and feel so defeated
most of the time
Please help me to heal and move on
towards the path that God has made
just for me
